We would like to inform you of an exciting Charity Motorcycle Event happening on June 11, 2011 (Rain date 12th) at The Pic–A-Lilli Inn located in Shamong, NJ. The name of the run is “HOGS FOR HOUNDS” led by Balanced Dogs LLC and their wonderful family of clients and friends, who help to create happy, healthy dogs by focusing on exercise and socialization.
All net proceeds from the First Annual HOGS FOR HOUNDS Charity Motorcycle Event will go to a wonderful organization called Puppies Behind Bars (www.puppiesbehindbars.com), which trains prison inmates to raise service dogs for disabled veterans and explosive detection canines for law enforcement. The puppies join the program at eight weeks and live with prison inmates for twelve to eighteen months. They receive 24-hour-a-day love, care and training from their inmate raisers, who attend weekly classes administered by Puppies Behind Bars (PBB). Dogs trained as service dogs are paired, free of charge, with veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan through PBB’s Dog Tags program. The dogs learn more than 90 commands, including special skills to mitigate the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

The HOGS FOR HOUNDS ride will start and finish at the Pic-A-Lilli Inn in Shamong, NJ.
-To participate as a rider:
1) We are asking each rider to
raise a minimum of $100 to participate.
2)Download registration packet on registration forms page. You will also find a donation request letter you can pass out to your friends and family
3) Mail or email forms with payment to PO Box on left.
To thank you for your participation, each rider will receive a t-shirt, all you can eat buffet, two drink tickets, a mug, and more at the after party festivities. Check in starts at 11am at the Pic-A-Lilli. We start our scenic ride at 12pm sharp and return back to the Pic-A-Lilli at 2pm for a delicious buffet till 5pm. The scenic ride will be 75 miles through Shamong and surrounding townships – plenty of open road! Registration ends May 15th.
-Non-riders: Not a rider, that’s OK! If you like dancing, live bands, winning free stuff, all you can eat buffets, chance auctions, 50/50s and more, we invite you to come out and support this great cause.
Event starts for non-riders at 1pm, buffet is 2-5pm. Event tickets for non-riders can be purchased for $35 by May 15th.
There will be a limited number of non-rider tickets available at the door.
